Our Mission

University nuhelot’ine thaiyots’i nistameyimâkanak Blue Quills has been dedicated to educating our community since 1971, when our people took over from the obilates. The language department is no different, focusing on using our traditional knowledge and cultural practices to help our students reclaim their language and find their future paths forward.

The way forward

The language department is acutely aware of the need in our communities for language educators and resources, as well as the cultivation of language communities for speakers to continue their language journey well into the future.
